Campus France and the Nigerian government conclude convention

University cooperation between France and Nigeria reached a new important step on Monday 17 May 2021. Béatrice Khaiat, General Director of Campus France, concluded a partnership convention with Suleiman Bogoro, General Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), with the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama, Thierry Coulhon, President of HCERES, Olivier Ribault, Head of International Development at ADIUT, and Leila Mathieu, assistant to scientific and university cooperation at the French embassy in Nigeria. The objective of the partnership is to develop the mobility in France of holders of scholarships from the Nigerian government.
The French embassy in Nigeria and Campus France Agency act from the development of university cooperation between French and Nigerian institutions. To this end, management of several joint scholarship schemes was given to Campus France. Such schemes helped significantly increase the number of holders of scholarships from the Nigerian government in France (180 holders in 2019/20).
