The first Campus France Office opens in Mozambique
On Wednesday 13 October 2021, the French Ambassador in Mozambique and Eswatini, David Izzo, and the rector of the Maputo Pedagogical University, Pr. Joao Ferrao, opened the first Campus France Office in Mozambique. The Office will greet and follow Mozambican students who want to come to France to study.
A new Campus France Office in Mozambique
Implemented in the offices of the Pedagogical University, the Maputo Campus France Office was inaugurated on 13 October 2021 by the rector, Pr. Joao Ferrao, and French Ambassador in Mozambique and Eswatini, Mr. David Izzo. It is the first Campus France Office in Mozambique. The Office is designed to:
- Greet, inform, guide and follow Mozambican students applying for studies or research mobility in France;
- Support students from French high school Gustave Eiffel to facilitate the continuation of their studies in France;
- Continue to structure and promote an ever-growing community of many members of France Alumni Mozambique.
Second wind for student mobility and university cooperation
The inauguration of a new Campus France Office in Maputo is part of actions developed by the Embassy of France, in cooperation with public and private partners, to improve student mobility and university cooperation in Mozambique, including:
- The development of cofinanced scholarship programmes;
- The development of graduating Franco-Mozambican study courses;
- The development of relationships with local companies to boost the employability and professional insertion of young graduates.
The Campus France Office in Maputo is now part of a network of 259 Campus France Offices in 131 countries promoting the French higher education system and supporting students, researchers and foreign institutions in their mobility projects.
