Research and innovation meetings: Campus France invites you to take part from 8 to 10 July
The third edition of the Campus France Research and Innovation Meetings will take place in Paris at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, from 8 to 10 July 2019. Organised by Campus France, they will offer three days of discussions, workshops and meetings to all actors involved in making French research attractive internationally.
The Campus France Research and Innovation Meetings enable all actors involved in making French research attractive internationally, to reinforce their partnerships and projects aimed at foreign PhD students and researchers. They are being held this year in line with the launch by the Prime Minister in November 2018 of the Choose France/Bienvenue en France plan.
The Campus France Research and Innovation Meetings will take place in Paris at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, from 8 to 10 July 2019. They are organised by Campus France, in partnership with:
- the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs,
- the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation,
- the three conferences of CPU, CDEFI and CGE institutions,
- French higher education institutions and research bodies who are members of the Campus France Forum,
- Universcience which is hosting the event in the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie.
Who is the event aimed at?
The Campus France Research and Innovation Meetings will bring together all actors involved in making French research attractive internationally. Participants include:
- representatives from higher education institutions in charge of research and international relations,
- representatives from research bodies,
- members from the French diplomatic network: scientific advisors, science and technology attachés, scientific and university cooperation attachés, international technical experts and Campus France managers,
- innovative companies and start-ups,
- and all actors committed to maintaining France's scientific standing: Alliances Françaises, bodies responsible for welcoming foreign researchers, the regions, accreditation bodies, etc.
What format will the event take?
A series of varied, dynamic and interactive modules will be offered to participants in order to promote discussion and the sharing of good practices:
- bilateral meetings between representatives of institutions/research bodies/partners and the members of the diplomatic network (attendance should be booked online before the event),
- country workshops organised by representatives from the diplomatic network, to provide information on the opportunities for certain countries regarding scientific cooperation,
- presentations of tools developed by Campus France and its partners to make French research more attractive,
- thematic workshops organised by experts, on a series of subjects such as the attractiveness of PhDs in France, the mechanisms of joint financing, the development of research projects, questions of visas, entrepreneurship, LABEX, IDEX, I-SITE, the ARC project, European Research-Intensive Universities, preparation of the HORIZON Europe European programme, the climate, oceanography, artificial intelligence...
- focuses on the research strategies of businesses and research bodies, including a presentation of their tools and cooperation programmes.

46 countries have been invited to take part in the Campus France Research and Innovation Meetings. They will be represented by advisors, attachés, international technical experts and Campus France managers from the French diplomatic network.
