European Museum Night: 3000 museums open their doors to you on May 18th in France
Most of the major museums, in Paris and other cities, are open and accessible to everyone, free of charge, on Saturday 18th May. It's an out of the norm opportunity to explore the great French cultural sites.
On this occasion, in about thirty European countries, museums are open and free of charge on May 18th, from late afternoon until 1am.In France, more than 3000 national and regional museums have chosen to open their doors and welcome their visitors for one exceptional evening.
Organised by the Ministry of Culture, La nuit des musées is a unique opportunity to explore the masterpieces for one evening, whilst taking part in original activities. Participating institutions must create an event that combines the talents of artists from various backgrounds to accompany these tours in a fun or educational way.
Themed visits, musical tours, shows, games, and illuminations are on the programme of activities set up to guarantee everyone a fun and unique museum experience!

Did you know? If you are under 26 years old, >more than 160 national museums and monuments open their doors free of charge all year round. All you need is proof of ID (passport, residence permit, etc.)
