Campus France and the DGESIP kick off a platform for International Students Reception Managers
An online platform has just opened to support the French network of International Students Reception Managers in higher education institutions.
A platform for International Students Reception Managers
Since March 31, thanks to the support of the Ministry of higher education, research, and innovation, a domestic network for International Students Reception Managers in higher education institutions now has a dedicated sphere on the professional social network Whaller. The objective of the network dedicated to online communication and jointly managed by Campus France and the DGESIP is to improve information and boost exchange of good practices regarding themes related to international students and researchers reception in France.
The context in which this platform kicks off is obviously peculiar. With the lockdown in place, professional social networks are critical, because they help maintain relations within the academic community in charge of international relations and reception of foreign students. The new collaborative tool will also continue exchanges and experience sharing usually seen in the annual conference for international students’ reception held by Campus France.
You may ask for more information on the network and request registration to the platform at adei@campusfrance.org.
A collaborative tool to manage the network of reception managers in France
The communication platform matches the needs of the domestic network of reception managers created by Campus France upon recommendations of the Reception Commission of the Campus France Forum and representatives of higher education institutions during the last Conference for International Students Reception (Strasburg - May 15 and 16, 2019).
Network users met for the first time on November 26 in the premises of Campus France in Paris. 73 participants from 68 higher education institutions attended the event.
