“Tu Maestría en Francia” 2025: record attendance

A key event for the promotion of studies in France, “Tu Maestría en Francia”, the Masters’ promotional tour in Mexico was held this year in three cities: 

• Monterrey: 12 February 2025 at the Alliance Française 
• Guadalajara: 14 February 2025 at the Alliance Française
• Mexico: 16 February 2025 at the Casa de Francia 

The 16th edition committed a wide network of French and Mexican academic players and several hundred students who want to continue their studies in France: 

• 24 French higher education institutions 
• 22 Mexican higher education institutions
• 4 student mobility agencies in Mexico
• 8 Mexican and international scholarships and funding entities
• 518 students

This record participation from students turned this year’s event into the most successful since the creation of the event. Thanks to a dedicated online platform, these students could share their academic profile with French institutions for tailor-made meetings, with in-person or remote. 

Setting up online meetings helped students who didn’t live in either one of the three cities of the tour to discover French institutions and find information about their studies offer and application requirements.

An event to improve Franco-Mexican university cooperation

More than recruiting students, this tour helped improve university cooperation relations between France and Mexico thanks to several meetings organised by the French Embassy in Mexico. Spaces specifically created for dialogue in Monterrey and Mexico encouraged talks between French institutions and representatives of Mexican institutions.

France, a popular destination among Mexican students

France is the 5th study destination for Mexican students. The country attracted 3,126 students in 2023-2024 in Licence, Master and Doctorate studies as part of academic exchanges. About 800 students chose France to continue their studies in Master.

To support these students, the Campus France Mexico network plays a key role. Five Campus France Offices located in Monterrey, Guadalajara, Puebla, Mérida and Mexico offer tailor-made advice: guidance in the choice of studies, support for admin procedures, and even visa request procedures. 

Campus France Mexico also manages the booming France Alumni Mexico network registering over 13,000 members.
