WHAT IS THE STUDENTS WELCOME DESK? A one-stop reception desk for international students.

The objective of the Students Welcome Desk (SWD) is to improve the reception and facilitate the integration of international students while giving people the opportunity to discover the riches and values ​​of Saint-Étienne, its metropolis, and of Roanne.

  • Health, social security affiliation
  • Housing and administrative procedures (CAF, Action Logement, Visale, etc.)

  • Everyday life
  • Cultural life

A welcome pack including a city map and essential guides to student life in Saint-Etienne

Integration and discovery activities of the territory throughout the year

Partners

The SWD is coordinated by COMUE University of Lyon and locally managed by the International Mobility Office of Jean Monnet University (UJM) with the support of the City of Saint-Etienne, Saint-Etienne Métropole, and CROUS.

The local higher education institutions involved are: Jean Monnet University (UJM), Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne (EMSE), Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Saint-Etienne (ENISE), Ecole Superior of Art and Design of Saint-Étienne (ESADSE), the National Superior School of Architecture of Saint Etienne (ENSASE), the National Superior School of Social Security (EN3S), the EM Lyon of Saint-Etienne.

Part of the actions are financed by the CVEC.

Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Buddy System

You can be accompanied by a "buddy" in Saint-Étienne!

In some schools, a student sponsorship scheme has also been set up. Contact the international relations department of your establishment.

If you have a master's degree in Saint-Etienne, you can become a Young Ambassador. It is a sponsorship program for international students by business leaders and members of local communities and institutions to discover the city, its activity and develop a project between Saint-Etienne and its country of origin.
