French + Sciences: the session “Focus on Sustainable Development” in Montpellier comes to its end
25 English-speaking international students from 13 different nationalities participated in the session “Focus on Sustainable Development” of the French + Sciences programme held in Montpellier from 5 to 23 June.
The session “Focus on Sustainable Development” was held in Montpellier as part of the French + Sciences programme developed by Campus France Agency from 5 to 23 June. The session was organised in collaboration with the French FLE (French as a Foreign Language) centre Accent Français, ENERCOOP Languedoc-Roussillon, the University of Montpellier, and the regional Delegation of Campus France with the support of the vice-president to the international influence and the European influence of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.
25 English-speaking international students representing 13 different nationalities participated in a 3-weeks stay to learn the first steps of French language or improve their level, but also to discover how to join sciences and technology with social innovation in the development of sustainable development projects: agriculture, land planning and quality of life, nature protection, waste and water management, energy...
Students participated in a presentation of Master courses in English offered by the University of Montpellier in the same subjects. Finally, they discovered hidden gems of the region thanks to a nice programme of visits (companies, labs, farms and cooperative companies) and tourist and cultural travels.
