“Bienvenue en France”: a training programme at the University of Lorraine
On the 28 April 2022, Campus France participated in a day of training for the staff of the University of Lorraine held as part of the “Bienvenue en France” strategy to improve the reception of international students.
This year, the University of Lorraine organises a training programme called “accueillir et accompagner les étudiants internationaux : devenez Ambassadeur Bienvenue en France” (Welcoming and supporting international students: become an Bienvenue en France Ambassador), a training programme for the staff dedicated to interculturality, with the aim of developing a common base of professional practices in all departments.
Representatives of various Campus France departments (external and institutional relations, geographic coordination, reception and student life) went to Nancy on 28 April to co-host a day of training with the International and European Relations Department of the university. They presented to participants the missions of the agency and the network of Campus France Offices, the role of Campus France in the chain of reception of international students, and shared with them good professional reception practices in France and abroad.
The University of Lorraine welcomes over 10,000 foreign students, a number that keeps growing every year. The University of Lorraine is committed in the national action to improve the reception and support of students coming from diverse regions in the world. The University was awarded the “Bienvenue en France” label in October 2019.
