Connecting refugee students in a regional alumni network
Since the start of the civil war in Syria, its neighbouring countries of Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey have hosted a large community of student refugees. A regional alumni network has been created in order to connect these students and to help them continue their education and improve their career opportunities. The network has been created for and with students. This poster will look into the proposed activities, how the network is managed and how its sustainability will be guaranteed

Campus France Panel Session : Supporting refugee students and scholars from conflict-affected countries and fragile states
The unprecedented crises happening in the world, such as the war in Ukraine and the situations in Afghanistan and Myanmar, have seen the development of dedicated funding and support programmes for students and academics from conflict-affected countries and fragile states. By focusing on some key initiatives, this interactive session will look at issues such as the sustainability of actions, how to develop synergies and how the academic community can better support students and scholars at risk.
